Broccoli Medley


Broccoli is very healthy. Cauliflower is just as healthy as broccoli. Carrots are good for you. 

Ingredients
3/4 cup broccoli
3/4 cup cauliflower
10 baby carrots
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil

Direction
boil veggies. meanwhile add butter and olive oil in sauce pan over medium heat. Drain veggies. add vegetables to pan cook until tender.

Nooga Side Dish Salad


Easy salad to make and fast. Perfect for side dish for any meal.

Ingredients:
1 cup shredded lettuce or more
1/2 cup cheddar cheese
real bacon bits to to taste
cheese garlic season croutons to taste
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
ranch dressing to taste

Directions: 
Add all ingredients to bowl and toss. Serve.

Penne Pasta Salad

This pasta salad perfect for any gathering. Start chopping while pasta cooking.

Ingredients:
6 oz penne pasta
1 large tomato, seeded and diced
1 small red onion, diced
2 green onions, diced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup ranch dressing
1/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions:
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and rinse. Mix all ingredients together.

Winner Corn


I forgot to take picture, so I went to my pantry and took picture of can corn. We love corn but corn on the cob is best.

Ingredients:
1 - 15.5 can corn, I didn't drain
salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon roasted garlic herb
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon butter

Directions:
In sauce pan, over medium heat. Mix all ingredients together. Serve warm.

Easy And Sweet Corn On The Cob


 

Can't go wrong with corn on the cob. We just love corn on the cob, warm and buttery. 

Ingredients : 
2 or4 corn on the cob, husk and silk removed 
salt and pepper to taste 
2 to 4 tablespoons butter 
1 tablespoon garlic powder 
sprinkle parmesan cheese 

Directions :
In sauce pan over high heat, add corn on cob. Boil 4 to 5 minutes, until bright yellow and tender. Carefully removed corn on cob with tongs. Add butter and seasoning.

Cheese Tomatoes With Zucchini


Many people feared tomatoes for more than 200 years. People thought the tomatoe was poison.  

Zucchini is part of the gourd family. Native to Central America and Mexico. Zucchini is grown in United States during the warm season. 

This is a easy side dish. Delicious! You don't have to put as much green onions as I did. Chopped red onions would be good. Onion powder would  be good. 


Cheese Tomatoes With Zucchini 
Recipe By Christine at Christine's Pantry 

Ingredients:
2 tomato, sliced
salt and pepper 
1 tablespoon garlic powder 
2 tablespoons Parmesan Cheese 
Dizzle Italian Salad Dressing 
Slice Green Onions, 2

Directions:
Slice tomatoes and add remaining ingredients. Place on plate. 

In separate skillet over medium heat, add sliced zucchini, salt and pepper to taste. Cook until tender.

Air Fryer Crispy Zucchini Fries


Where did zucchini originate? The Italian name zucchini and other squash are native to America. Where they were key diet. 

You can use  zucchini so many ways. Zucchini noodles, sauteed, grill, baked into bread, salad, soup, make zucchini boats about and fill with meat rice and onions.  

Ingredients:
2 zucchini ends cut off, cut into 4 inch pieces 
salt and pepper, to taste 
1 teaspoon garlic powder 
1 teaspoon paprika 
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
2 eggs beaten 
cooking spray 
1 cup bread crumbs 

Directions:
In a bowl add bread crumbs and grated cheese, garlic powder, paprika, stir. In separate bowl beat 2 eggs. cut zucchini into 4 inch pieces. salt and pepper zucchini. Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees. Spray air fryer with cooking spray. Add zucchini fries spray zucchini with cooking spray, and cook for 10 minutes.

Sauteed Cabbage

I realize this will not be your go to recipe for that romantic night with your love one, but this easy, delicious side dish will be love at first bite. 

Tender and delicious, so good you'll nibble on this right out of the pan. 

Health benefits of cabbage: Cabbage is full with nutrients. Contains vitamin C and K. Helps with digestion. It may help to keep heart healthy. May lower blood pressure. 

If you don't like cabbage, you should give this recipe a try, you just may like cabbage after trying this recipe. 

What to serve with cabbage: Cabbage goes with a variety of dishes, pork, chicken and smoked sausage. Here is a short list of ideas to help you get started.

95 percent of zucchini is water. Zucchini is low in fat and cholesterol free, making this vegetable healthy for all. Zucchini has vitamin c, vitamin a, folate, potassium and more. Also high in fiber which helps with digestion.

The other day I went to Bradley Farmers Market, bought the zucchini, tomatoes and other vegetables. Go support the farmers if you can.

American Macaroni Salad

Classic macaroni salad is easy and budget friendly side dish, you can make the night before your picnic or backyard BBQ. Macaroni salad is popular side dish for anytime of the year. Some people want to go to the grocery store deli and buy macaroni salad for there party. Don't waste your time going to the grocery store, macaroni salad so easy to make, and it will taste a lot better than store bought. 

This recipe is too easy. By the time your pasta has finish cooking, you'll have everything prepared and ready. Just drain pasta, rinse under cold water to cool and toss with the ingredients. Cover tightly and place in refrigerator for the party the next day. 

Macaroni is served kinda like potato salad, cold and perfect for picnics and backyard BBQ. 

Look at the ingredients cheap and filling pasta. A meal stretcher. If you have more people to feed, you can easily double the ingredients.

Zucchini and Tomato Skillet

Zucchini is a summer squash. Meaning zucchini harvested while immature. The rind is tender and edible. Botanically zucchini is a fruit. In the culinary world it's treated like a vegetable. It's harvested when it reaches 9 to 10 inches long, it loses taste if it grows longer than 9 to 10 inches. 

Zucchini was developed in Italy in 19 century near Milan. Their name comes for an Italian word, squash ("zucca"). The other name courgette comes from French for this vegetable. Zucchini came to North America in 1920s, may have been brought by Italian immigrants. Good chance is was first cultivation in California. People in USA, Canada and Australia call it the Italian name, Zucchini. In South Africa is called "baby marrow." 

Zucchini like the temperate climate and is easy to cultivate. Farmers try to control production by harvesting the flower, which can be sold at high cost, due to it's consider a delicatessen. They required a great number of bees for pollination. 

Zucchini very healthy, because they contain folate, vitamin A and potassium. As mention, they are harvested when very young for good taste. 

Zucchini can be eaten raw in salad, or grilling, frying, steam, boil and baking. 

Zucchini flowers are stuffed, battered and than deep fried. Tempura, Japanese dish.  

Mexicans like to use zucchini in soup. Quesadillas for a filling. 

Easy way to cook zucchini is slice it with skin on cooked in butter or olive oil with seasonings.

In Bulgarian, they cook zucchini as a snack, serve with dip. 

Egyptians, cook zucchini in tomato sauce with onions and garlic.
