Sauteed Cabbage

I realize this will not be your go to recipe for that romantic night with your love one, but this easy, delicious side dish will be love at first bite. 

Tender and delicious, so good you'll nibble on this right out of the pan. 

Health benefits of cabbage: Cabbage is full with nutrients. Contains vitamin C and K. Helps with digestion. It may help to keep heart healthy. May lower blood pressure. 

If you don't like cabbage, you should give this recipe a try, you just may like cabbage after trying this recipe. 

What to serve with cabbage: Cabbage goes with a variety of dishes, pork, chicken and smoked sausage. Here is a short list of ideas to help you get started. 




Crispy Chicken Cutlets





Cabbage is an easy and delicious side dish that goes with a variety of dishes. 

Sauteed Cabbage
Recipe by Christine Lamb @ Christine's Pantry - 2020

Ingredients:
1 small head green cabbage, cut into fine ribbons
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 teaspoon butter
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon garlic herb seasoning

Directions: 
Cut cabbage in half. Place cut side down on cutting board. Cut thinly around the core. Discard the core. 

Heat oil and melt butter in skillet over medium high heat, add cabbage, seasoned salt and black pepper, stir. Cook about 12 to 15 minutes, until tender. Add garlic powder and garlic herb seasoning, stir and cook additional 1 minute. Serve warm.
