Shrimp and Sausage Skillet

Here's a delicious dish that's quick and easy. Love creating easy and delicious meals. Love the cajun sausage. I used a lot of garlic in this recipe, you can use less garlic, if desired. You may add additional veggies, keep it to quick cooking veggies. Great dish to serve over rice.

Shrimp and sausage go well together. You may use chicken or pork sausage. Perfect dinner for busy weekdays.

Garlic Shrimp

The terms "shrimp" and "prawns" can be confusing. Even scientists often use these words inconsistently. Larger shrimp often come from freshwater, are referred to as "prawns," while smaller shrimp often come from saltwater habitats, are called "shrimp." The size, "large" typically means that you get about 40 or less per cooked pound, in comparison to about 50 for "medium" and 60 for "small". But from a science perspective, both shrimp and prawns can come from saltwater or freshwater, and there is no absolute standard for measuring small, medium, or large.

In addition, the shells should not appear yellow or gritty as this may be indicative that sodium bisulfate or another chemical has been used to bleach the shells.

Commercial cultivation of lemons blossomed in both Florida and California in the 1800s, but due to a killer freeze in the winter of 1894-1895, commercial lemon culture in Florida ceased.
