7 Questions with Lynn Vining - Blogger Interview

I thought it would be nice to get to know a few of our favorite bloggers a little bit better. Join us. Today, we're chatting with Lynn Vining of Southern with a Twist

What inspired you to start blogging?
I love food, and I had been catering for years. I was always being asked for recipes, so I decided to start a blog. Not a bad way to get more business either! LOL

How has blogging changed in the last 3 years?
It seems everyone has a blog now. I try to be consistent on content and quality.

How long does it take to do a blog post?
It depends on the recipe and difficulty. Sometimes it takes an hour. Other times, it takes a day or so.

You tried a new recipe, it didn't turn out well, what do you do?
It happens! I try changing things if it is a little "off." If it is really bad, I'd ditch it!

What is your take on organic food?
That's a tough one. Organic can mean a lot. It can be a labeling term. True organic to me is food in it's purest form. That's important to flavor, quality and health.

How important is eating meals together as a family, to you?
With step-kids with families of their own, it is hard to do. Even my son, who has graduated and working full time now doesn't get home in time for meals around the table. So when we do all get together, we take advantage of it! Getting together around the table is the         best!

Have you thought about writing a cookbook?
I have written a cookbook. I have sold about 35 copies that I personally printed. I am trying to get it published professionally.
