No Fire Chili

Chili for a warm comforting meal. Try this quick chili recipe. Take the leftover to work for a warm lunch.

No Fire Chili
Recipe by Christine Lamb - 2015 

Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 white onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (15 oz.) can manwich® original sloppy joe sauce
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (15.5 oz.) can light red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 package mild chili seasoning mix
shredded cheddar cheese, for ganish
chopped green onions, for garnish

Directions:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, onion, green bell pepper and season with salt, about 7 to 10 minutes, until crumble and no longer pink. 

Add remaining ingredients expect cheese and green onions. Simmer 10 minutes.

  1. Christine, this is the kind of chili my hubby will EAT and have 2nds & 3rds! My "firey" additions (red pepper flakes, hot sauce, jalapenos, and tons of chili powder) are a bit much for him. I'll definitely try out your recipe on him, thanks!
