Turkey Pasta
Recipe by Christine Lamb @ Christine's Pantry - 2016
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 pound ground turkey
salt and pepper
1 white onion, chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
2 tablespoons italian seasoning
1 (24 oz.) jar green pepper and mushroom sauce
1 (14 oz.) can diced tomatoes
4 ounces egg noodles
1 tablespoon minced garlic
reserve 1 ladle of pasta water
Directions:
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and return back to pot.
Heat oil in skillet over medium heat. Add ground turkey, salt and pepper, breaking meat up as it cooks, cook until no longer pink. Add onions, and celery, sprinkle with salt and pepper, stirring, cook about 3 to 5 minutes, until celery is crisp tender.
Stir in sauce, diced tomatoes, garlic and italian seasoning. Stir in pasta water. Simmer about 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve with nice crusty bread and or salad.
