Ground Beef with Pasta and Gravy
Recipe by Christine Lamb - 2015
Ingredients:
4 ounces elbow macaroni
1 pound ground beef
salt and pepper
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1 small onion, chopped
4 ounces mushrooms, sliced
2 packages brown gravy mix
1 1/2 cups water
1 teaspoon minced garlic
chopped parsley for garnish
Directions:
Cook pasta according to package directions, and add plenty of salt to the pasta water. Drain and return to pot.
Brown ground beef in skillet over medium heat, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and add worcestershire sauce. Breaking meat up as it cooks. Add onions and mushrooms, cook 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix the gravy and water, slowly add the water so there is no lumps. Pour gravy in the skillet, stirring. Add garlic. Stir in the pasta and cook 1 minute, until heated through. Garnish with chopped parsley.
